Traffic signal change in Redwood Falls at Highway 19 and Swain Street
WILLMAR, Minn. – Part of the Highways 19 and 71 project in Redwood Falls includes the replacement of a traffic signal at Highway 19 and Swain Street. The first phase of the replacement begins on Monday, Aug. 27, 2018. The existing traffic signal will be switched to flashing mode to help the traveling public adjust to a four-way stop that will be in place for several months.
The existing traffic signal will then be removed on Wednesday, Aug. 29, 2018, and replaced with a four-way stop. The four-way stop will be in place beyond the end of construction until new traffic signals are available for installation.
MnDOT asks motorists to slow down and pay attention while driving through work zones. Remember, orange cones, no phones. Motorists who speed through a work zone or who disobey work zone flaggers face a $300 fine.
