US Hwy 71 (Highway 9 to Belgrade) project complete
WILLMAR, Minn. – The US Highway 71 (Highway 9 to Belgrade) resurfacing project is complete and the road open to traffic. Permanent striping will take place under traffic, weather permitting.
The project began September 4, 2018, and involved the resurfacing of US Highway 71 from the intersection of Highway 9 in New London, Minn., to Highway 55 in Belgrade, Minn. The project included a seal coat application to extend the life of the pavement.
Benefits of the project include a smoother road surface. The cost of the project was $1.6 million. The prime contractor was Duininck, Inc.
