About this project

In 2026, we will begin a project to reconstruct Hwy 65 to improve safety and mobility between 97th Ave. and 125th Ave./Main St. in Blaine. This project will improve travel time and reduce crashes along the highway.
Summary of work
- Reconstruct Hwy 65 as a freeway-design with grade-separated interchanges at:
- 99th Ave.
- 105th Ave.
- 109th Ave.
- 117th Ave./Cloud Dr.
- Reroute existing local street/driveway connections using frontage/backage roads between 97th Ave. and 125th Ave.
- Reconstruct existing sidewalk along the roadway to meet Americans with Disability Act (ADA) standards

We will reconstruct Hwy 65 as a freeway-design with interchanges between 97th Ave. and 125th Ave./Main St. in Blaine. The video below provides a bird’s eye view of the future Hwy 65 from 97th Ave. north to 121st Ave./Paul Pkwy. with a view of the four new interchanges and other features.
