MnDOT to host public meeting for Hwy 48 corridor study in Hinckley

DULUTH, Minn. – The Minnesota Department of Transportation is hosting a public meeting on Tuesday, April 30, at 4:30 p.m. in the Hinckley City Hall Community Room, 106 1st St. SE, to share proposed concepts of the Hwy 48 corridor through Hinckley. This corridor study is looking at the Hwy 48 section from the I-35 ramps to Government Road.

Project staff will give a brief background on the corridor, information that has been gathered throughout the study and proposed concepts that address traffic and pedestrian flow, intersections, safety and other concerns along the corridor. There is no project planned for this corridor at the time; this is a study to gather feedback on how the corridor works and what improvements could be made in the future.

For those unable to attend in person, materials will be posted to the project website at mndot.gov/d1/projects/hwy48-hinckley/.
