Project summary

MnDOT, in partnership with the City of Marshall, is reconstructing 1.8 miles of Highway 19/College Drive from Marlene Street through the intersection of Bruce Street. The project includes replacing pavement, sanitary sewer and watermain; constructing a single-lane roundabout; updating sidewalks and pedestrian ramps to improve accessibility; and making traffic control changes throughout the route to enhance safety for everyone.

Project benefits

Once the project has been completed, everyone can enjoy a smoother road surface, enhanced safety, and improved accessibility. The project also improves drainage and will help ensure that city and state infrastructure continue to serve their purpose for many years.

R and G Construction is the primary contractor, and the approximate cost is $25.7 million. This project received $15.4 million in funding from Rebuilding American Infrastructure with Sustainability and Equity, also known as a RAISE grant.
