MnDOT to host April 9 open house for Hwy 71 Park Rapids Corridor Study
BEMIDJI, Minn. —The public is invited to attend an open house on April 9 in Park Rapids to evaluate design alternatives as part of the Highway 71 Park Rapids Corridor Study, according to the Minnesota Department of Transportation.
The event is scheduled from 4:30 p.m. to 6 p.m. on Thursday, April 9, at Park Rapids City Hall. It will begin with a presentation at 4:45 p.m. to walk attendees through the design alternatives. Project staff are looking for community and business feedback on design alternatives for the segments north and south of Highway 34. The group is working to move the study forward to a community-supported vision. For those unable to attend the open house, an interactive map is available on the project website to provide feedback. The project team will be available to answer questions and hear feedback.
This study will inform the future reconstruction of Highway 71 between 8th St. and south of 190th St. in 2030. For more information on the project and to sign up for email updates, please visit https://talk.dot.state.mn.us/hwy-71-corridor-study-in-park-rapids.
