  • One lane each direction through fall
    • Expect lane shifts, no shoulders, head-to-head traffic and multiple crews at work

Co. Rd. 4 to Harry Rich Dr.

Local access open

  • Expect changes, follow signs

Hwy 29, Hwy 71

All lanes open. Work begins after June 22.

Wadena is open

Access to those who live, work or visit areas along this project will be open and maintained at all times. However, expect these changes:

  • Hard closures at times; contact businesses ahead of time and enter nearest your destination
  • Use of a side streets, alley or back/side entrances
  • Gravel or grooved surfaces or temporary entrances
  • Pedestrians will have sidewalk closures with detours

Expect major construction on Hwy 10 west of Wadena at 620th Ave., Otter Tail County, to east of Wadena at Oink Joint Rd./140th St., Wadena County, in 2026-2027.

Hwy 10 west of Hwy 71

  • Excavate and build up road materials; replace pipes; construct road, medians and entrances, J-turn at Co. Rd. 75 and second half of roundabout at hospital - Goal: Open to four lanes by late October

Hwy 10 east of Hwy 71

  • Excavate and build up road materials; construct segments of road, entrances, half of roundabout at Harry Rich Dr., and box culverts at Union Creek and Whiskey Creek

Hwy 71 south of Hwy 10

  • Franklin to Aldrich Ave. S (35 consecutive days within June 22-Sept. 8 time frame)
    • Resurface and update the road
    • Update or install sidewalks
    • Storm sewer work
    • Update or replace signals at Hwy 29, Bryant Ave. S, Aldrich Ave.

Hwy 29

  • Hwy 71 to west limits of Wadena (40 consecutive days within June 22-Sept. 8 time frame)
    • Resurface road
    • Update/add sidewalk
    • Storm sewer work
