- Southbound Co. Rd. 9 is reduced to one lane between Ervin Industrial Dr. and Hwy 169
5 a.m. Tue, April 15 through late November
- Hwy 169 is reduced to one lane in both directions between Hwy 282 and Hwy 21

About this project
We are partnering with the city of Jordan and Scott County on a project which will include a new Hwy 169 and Hwy 282/Co. Rd. 9 interchange, two bridges (over Hwy 169 and railroad tracks), two roundabouts, pedestrian tunnel, sidewalks, retaining walls, and noise walls.
Summary of work
- Construct new interchange at Hwy 169 and Hwy 282/Co. Rd. 9
- Build roundabout at the Co. Rd. 9 and Syndicate St. intersection
- Build roundabout at the Co. Rd. 9 and 190th St./Valley View Dr. intersection
- Build Co. Rd. 9 bridge over Union Pacific railroad tracks
- Widen and repair Hwy 169 bridge over Sand Creek
- Add traffic signal at NB Hwy 169 exit ramp and Hwy 282
- Build pedestrian tunnel under Hwy 169 and add new trail connections
- Construct Hwy 169 acceleration and deceleration lanes
- Build stormwater improvements
- Create retaining walls along various areas of the project
- Add noise walls on both sides of Hwy 169, north of Syndicate St. and Creek Lane

Stage 1: Spring to early summer 2025
- Work begins on Hwy 169 interchange
- Single-lane Hwy 169 traffic in each direction
Stage 2: Summer to fall 2025
- Single-lane Hwy 169 traffic in each direction
- Roundabout construction at Co. Rd. 9 and Valley View Dr.
- Co. Rd. 9 remains open
- Alternating detour for 190th St./Valley View Dr.
- Construct pedestrian underpass
Stage 3: 2026
- Work on Hwy 282/Co. Rd. 9 overpass
- Single-lane Hwy 169 traffic in each direction
- Occasional overnight closures of Hwy 169 for bridge work
- Temporary traffic light at Hwy 169 and Creek Ln.
- Truck traffic exiting and entering Hwy 169 at Co. Rd. 9 will instead be detoured to Delaware Ave./Co. Rd. 59
Stage 4: 2027
- Median and finishing work on Hwy 169
- Single-lane Hwy 169 traffic in each direction
- Remove temporary traffic light at Hwy 169 and Creek Ln.
- Hwy 282/Co. Rd. 9 overpass opens to traffic
