Highway 2 culvert replacement near Proctor traffic control change
DULUTH, Minn. – The Minnesota Department of Transportation has completed the first phase of the culvert replacement project on Highway 2 between Highway 194 and Proctor. Starting today, Highway 2 will be open to through traffic.
Starting on July 7, the second phase will start. There will be two complete closures of Highway 2, one at the Midway River just west of Lindahl Road, and the other at Kingsbury Creek between Ugstad Road and St. Louis River Road. A detour for Highway 2 will be posted to take 2nd Avenue N in Proctor to Lavaque Road to Midway Road. Local traffic will need to take alternate routes to get to locations between the closures. This work is expected to last until August 16.
