Highland Scenic Drive access closes at Highway 210 in Baxter
BAXTER, Minn. – The Minnesota Department of Transportation advises travelers that the Highway 210 access to and from Highland Scenic Drive (Crow Wing County Road 48) will close beginning Tuesday, Oct. 7 to complete intersection signal work.
Here’s what to expect:
- Highland Scenic Drive (County Road 48) will close to all traffic between Highway 210 and Foley Road/Marohn Road S for approximately 14 working days. Follow detour signs along Inglewood Drive S and Foley Road. A detour map is available on the Highway 210 Baxter project web page.
- Highway 210 will remain open with minimal impacts, limited to shoulder closures at the intersection. Watch for flashing equipment and workers in the area.
If you use this route to drop off or pick up students at the public middle and elementary school, please allow extra time.
The closure is necessary to activate and coordinate the timing of the new traffic signal system at the Highway 210/Highland Scenic Drive (County Road 48) intersection and the BNSF Railway crossing. Crews will also complete ditch drainage, road paving and the pedestrian trail.
This work marks the final phase of the $4.5 million project to resurface and improve Highway 210 between Baxter Drive and Timberwood Drive.
