County Road 9 closure in Jordan begins Nov. 10
ROSEVILLE, Minn. – Crews will close a portion of County Road 9 in Jordan on Nov. 10 for the next stage of Highway 169 and Highway 282/County Road 9 interchange construction, according to the Minnesota Department of Transportation.
Beginning at 7 a.m. Monday, Nov. 10, County Road 9 will be closed between Frontage Road and 190th Street/Valley View Drive through spring 2026.
The public should bypass the closure using County Road 9, Frontage Road, Syndicate Street and Valley View Drive.
Freight and large trucks wishing to exit and enter Highway 169 at County Road 9 will be detoured to the new Delaware Avenue/County Road 59 interchange until late 2026. The truck detour uses Highway 169, Delaware Avenue, 195th Street, Fairview Lane, 190th Street and County Road 9. It avoids a tight corner at Syndicate Street and Valley View Drive that is difficult for large trucks to navigate.
The County Road 9 closure is necessary to allow crews to install culverts under the road and to begin construction on the interchange bridges and retaining walls over the winter.
All construction activities and traffic impacts are weather dependent and subject to change. MnDOT urges motorists to always be attentive, drive with caution and slow down in work zones where workers are present.
MnDOT, in partnership with the city of Jordan and Scott County, will build a new interchange at Highway 169 and Highway 282/County Road 9 from spring 2025 through 2027. Construction will include two bridges, large drainage culverts, two roundabouts, a pedestrian tunnel, sidewalks, retaining walls and noise walls. The project will improve safety and traffic flow and create better connections for pedestrians and bicyclists.
