MnDOT announces state highway closures in southwest Minnesota

WILLMAR, Minn. – (8:00 p.m.) The Minnesota Department of Transportation has closed state highways in all or portions of the following counties: Lincoln, Lyon, Murray, Pipestone, Redwood, and Yellow Medicine. In addition, no travel is advised on Highway 71 from Redwood Falls to Highway 14. Heavy snow, strong winds, and limited visibility is creating hazardous travel conditions. There are many vehicles stranded in the ditch or blocking roadways.

Road closures and travel advisories are expected to remain overnight.
