This course enables you to:

  • Approach your work with a better understanding of the Grand Portage people, government, and ways of life.
  • Describe key protocols and best practices for engaging in effective consultation and coordination with the Grand Portage Band of Lake Superior Chippewa.
  • Identify ways in which the Grand Portage Band of Lake Superior Chippewa is unique among the 11 federally recognized Indian tribal governments in Minnesota.
