Summary of work

Hwy 10 at Co. Rd. 11 (Bison Rd.)

  • Reconstruct the intersection access with a J-turn design:
    • Close the Hwy 10 median crossover
    • Reconfigure access at Co. Rd. 11 (Bison Rd.) to right-in/out turn movements only
    • Lengthen turn lanes along Hwy 10 and add U-turns east/west of the intersection
    • Install overhead intersection lighting

Hwy 10 at Morrison Co. Rd. 16 (260th St.)

  • Update the intersection access:
    • Close the Hwy 10 median crossover
    • Reconfigure access at Co. Rd. 16 (260th St.) to right-in/out turn movements only
    • Install overhead intersection lighting

Specifics for this Hwy 10 project

  • Install pedestrian crossings in the medians at both intersections.

How to use J-turns

  1. Stop and yield to vehicles in both lanes to your left
  2. Crossover into the lane in the median
  3. Yield to vehicles in both lanes to your right
  4. Make a U-turn and head towards your destination
  5. Either continue through the intersection or turn right
