Summary of work

In 2028, a MnDOT contractor will reconstruct Highway 19 from Decker Avenue to the Union Pacific Railroad tracks just west of Highway 3 in Northfield and repave Highway 19 between the railroad tracks and Highway 3. The road will change from two lanes to add a continuous left turn in addition to the two lanes. A roundabout is proposed to be constructed at Armstrong Road. A trail will be constructed on the north side of Highway 19 from Decker Avenue to Highway 3 with additional improvements for pedestrians and bicycles from Armstrong Road to Highway 3.
Traffic impacts
Effects on traffic will be determined closer to the time of construction and developed with consultation from businesses and residents.
