Summary of work
Resurfacing of Highway 19 west of Northfield is scheduled to begin July 13, 2026. It is expected to be completed late-August 2026. Work will occur from Decker Avenue to the roundabout east of I-35.
Traffic impacts
Highway 19 will be closed and detoured during the first month of construction. Motorists should use Rice County Road 59/ Old Dutch Road to go around the work zone.
