Hwy 75

Trosky to Pipestone

Project Update:

The Hwy 75 project between Trosky and County Road 57 in Pipestone is planned as a concrete overlay, providing a durable, long-term pavement solution. During early project development, MnDOT identified additional infrastructure needs that must be addressed to ensure the roadway’s long-term success and resilience.

These updates require more time for environmental review, design work, and property agreements, prompting an adjustment to the project timeline. The project is now scheduled for 2029, allowing coordination with another planned Hwy 75 project (CR 57 to Hwy 30). Combining efforts will:

Minimize detour disruptions
Reduce construction costs
Provide a smoother, stronger road for the region.

Until construction begins, MnDOT will continue maintaining the roadway to ensure safe travel.

MnDOT understands Hwy 75’s importance to the community and recognizes that delays are frustrating. However, taking the time to plan thoroughly now ensures a better, longer-lasting result for everyone who depends on this highway.
