MNDOT Transportation Data Management System
There are two options to view MnDOT’s traffic monitoring data:
- Traffic Viewer (TV) is a simple, easy-to-use view of traffic data, with a mobile friendly interface.
- Traffic Count Database System (TCDS) is a detailed and comprehensive view of traffic data, designed for desktop use and ideal for users seeking advanced functionality and reporting.
Both applications include traffic data starting from 2016. If you need access to older traffic data, please contact the Traffic Monitoring Program.
Help resources for both applications are available in the menu located at the top right corner of the screen.
About the Traffic Data
The traffic data available in the Traffic Viewer (TV) and Traffic Count Database System (TCDS) reflects accurate reproductions of records maintained by MnDOT. While we strive to provide reliable information, MnDOT cannot guarantee the accuracy of the underlying data and is not responsible for any misuse, misinterpretation, or misrepresentation of the data.
MnDOT collaborates with cities, counties, metropolitan planning organizations (MPOs), and other agencies to collect traffic count data from a variety of sources. For questions about specific data, please contact the original data provider.
Please note:
- Current-year data is preliminary and may change once updated adjustment factors are applied.
- Attribution is required when using this data in presentations, reports, or other materials.
- The data shown is best suited for high-level planning. Users should verify the date and collection method to ensure it fits their intended use.
If you're unsure which data to use, please contact the Traffic Monitoring Program.
